Prof. Ahmed Geneid is adjunct professor, laryngologist and phoniatrician. He is a head of department in Helsinki University Hospital of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Prof. Geneid is served as president and founding member of Finnish Laryngological Society and president of Union of the European Phoniatricians in addition to being currently vice-president and founding member of the International Association of TransVoice Surgeons. He leads a multidisciplinary team specifically focused on dealing with voice and swallowing patients in Helsinki University Hospital, Finland. Prof. Geneid authored over 75 peer-reviewed international articles and chapters of textbooks. In addition, he teaches regularly on different laryngology and phonosurgery topics. Prof. Geneid is merited as Finland’s ENT doctor of the year 2020 by Finnish association of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. He also received different awards as best presenter for two times by Finnish association of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. One of his articles received Journal of Voice Best Paper Award in 2013.

Dr. Antonio Ballestas is an ENT surgeon with over 30 years of experience providing care to his patients. He founded Voicefem - Voice Feminization Colombia in 2014, pioneering voice feminization surgery in Latin America with a modified Wendler Glottoplasty technique, changing the lives of hundreds of patients. Dr. Ballestas completed his residency in 1987 at the University of Costa Rica and his fellowship in 1988 at Bordeaux University in France. He completed a mini-fellowship in Laryngology at Emory University in 2012 and has been a visiting doctor at Harvard University (USA), Hospital San Lucas (Brazil) and Hospital Quiron (Spain), Hospital Militar(Bogotá) Dr. Ballestas has published his work in the Journal of the Colombian Ear Nose and Throat Society. His work has been presented in the USA, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. He has served as president of Colombia’s Atlantico Society of ENT.

Mr Chadwan Al Yaghchi, MD PhD FRCS, is a consultant laryngologist at the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction at Imperial College Healthcare. He manages the full spectrum of laryngeal disorders with a specialist interest in airway stenosis and complex dysphagia. Mr Al Yaghchi holds a PhD in Molecular Oncology from Queen Mary’s University of London, studying oncolytic viruses in head and neck cancers. In addition, he has an active clinical research program in voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. He has published multiple book chapters and more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and is currently the laryngology section editor of Scott-Brown's Otolaryngology. Mr Al Yaghchi is an internationally renowned specialist in gender-affirming voice surgery. He introduced a number of voice feminization procedures to the UK, including his own modification to the Wendler Glottoplasty technique and Vocal Fold Muscle Reduction. He is a founding member of the International Association of TransVoice Surgeons. He is a founding member of the British Laryngological Association and the honorary treasurer. He is a board member of the UK Swallowing Research Group and has served as a Vice president of the Royal Society of Medicine Section of Laryngology and Rhinology.

She works as a voice clinician at the multidisciplinary gender team and the voice clinic of the ENT Department of Ghent University Hospital and is a member of the International Association of Logopaedics and Phoniatrics (IALP) and the European Professional Association of Transgender Health (EPATH) scientific voice committee. Her main areas of interest within voice research are transgender voice, effectiveness of voice training and voice in elite vocal performers.

Dr. H. Steven Sims is a board-certified Laryngologist and Director of the Chicago Institute for Voice Care at the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center. He chose a career in professional voice care as an extension of his two passions: medicine and singing. He is from musical family and is an accomplished baritone and instrumentalist. He plays trombone, bassoon, and piano and sang in choirs during his undergraduate studies at Yale University. After completing Yale Medical School he secured a research fellowship at the National Institute on Deafness and Communication Disorders before a residency at Yale Otolaryngology. He completed a fellowship in care of the professional voice at Vanderbilt University. He is committed to identifying and addressing healthcare disparities as well as the effects of structural racism on medical education and the practice of medicine. He leads the anti-racism curriculum at UIC College of Medicine. Clinical areas of specialty include performing arts medicine, gender affirming voice care, and professional voice care.

He completed his residency programme at the Otorhinolaryngology&Head and Neck Surgery Department of Gulhane Military Medical Academy in 2002, and has trained in laryngology at the Otolaryngology Department of University of Washington in Seattle,WA,USA between 2007-2008. He had the degree of Associate Professor in 2010, and Full Professor in 2019. He is now seeing his patients at Liv Hospital in Istanbul/Turkey. Dr.Birkent has over 60 papers published and indexed in the medical literature. He has recently described a new surgical technique for voice feminization which is called as “Tensioning Glottoplasty”. Hyung-Tae Kim, MD, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The Catholic University of Korea in Seoul, South Korea. Since 2003, he has been privileged to lead the Yeson Voice Center in Seoul. A humble dedication to advancing knowledge has marked his contributions to the field of laryngology. In 1998, he introduced EMG-guided injection laryngoplasty, and also developed the multichannel phonokinetic evaluation system to assist professional singers and pioneered the vocal fold shortening with retrodisplacement of the anterior commissure (VFSRAC) technique for gender-affirming voice surgery. He is honored to be the founder and chairman of the Korean Foundation for Voice of Performing Arts board. He currently serves as the vice president of the Korea International Medical Association. With a deep sense of humility, he actively engages in international trans-healthcare and pedagogical organizations, aiming to contribute to his field with unwavering dedication and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Known around the world for his YouTube channel, VOXDOC - the voicedoctor and website voicedoctor.net offering referrals, photographs and video instruction on voice disorder diagnosis; for his teaching methods on diagnosing voice disorders and for his writing. His publication, “Why is there a frog in my throat? — A guide to hoarseness” offers young laryngologists insights into the function of the human vocal cords.
